how to I do these types of team pictures?

These are not my pictures below. These are pictures I want to know how to do.

I know how to get my lighting of each girl individual for the picture. but I am lost on what to do in photoshop. is it literally just cutting and pasting type work? anyone know a video I can watch of someone doing this?

Actually, once you figure out the basics, it's not all that difficult. It's simply a matter of being very familiar with how to use layers. The key to making these work well is to shoot the images with the final result in mind.
