How to take a photograph that can be crop even pixels

Hello,
I have a question how should I angle my pictures that are non even pixels to even pixels when inside photoshop. Like when I take the picture the original size is 1500x2000 pixels and I'm trying to make it 1000x1000 without affecting the product.

Well basically you need to shoot wide and give yourself enough room so that when you crop the larger image into the smaller image frame that the area you actually want in the photo fits inside the smaller frame without much if any resizing.

Most DSLR cameras make a photo that has a 3:2 aspect ratio. (4x6, 8x12, etc)
Most P&S cameras make a photo that has a 4:3 aspect ratio. (6x8, 9x12, etc)
Some cameras let you change the aspect ratio and/or include the 5:4 aspect ratio. (4x5, 8x10, etc)

When both the height and width are equal (a square) the aspect ratio is 1:1.
