how's the lighting? trying to prepare for our newborn arrival.

thoughts on this? natural lighting through the window in one of the guest bedrooms at our house. my sister has a sunroom, i plan to take advantage of it. but pointers are welcome.

composition wise, i can work on it but was more worried with lighting.

I like how your in to natural light. But if you're not happy about the angle of the light, you can try a reflecter of diffuser...
 
You have definition on the doll.... exposure is correct. Not much more to say with this subject. Since it basically has a flat face, can't see the shadowing that will occur with a baby's face, and can't determine how hard / soft the shadows / highlights will be. As Josh mentioned above... a reflector might be useful to even out the exposure if shadows are too hard.
 
good points. i did buy a gold/white reflector as i heard many times softer light helps with newborn/baby shots so hopefully the white will do. thanks for the comments.
