Hummingbird Moth feeding on my Bee Balm

[joelbolden]

My Monarda fistulosa finally came in bloom, and this Hummingbird Moth came to visit. They can be a royal PITA to photograph, but thankfully I had the 55-300PLM on my Pentax, and I managed a few good shots. This one is the best of the lot.

That is a nice one.

Nice catch. I like the composition.

I never knew what these moths are called. We have a few buzzing around here, too. They're even faster than the hummers, I think!

Very good capture. I love the colors and seeing the wingspan.

Nice capture. Same here, used to see them up north but never knew what they were.
