Perfect exposure on #1:encouragement:

Both are good.

Maybe it was just stoned & didn't care how close you got.

I think Ron is pretty sure it's hurt because he nailed it's foot to that log :biglaugh:

Thank you. It could have been stoned, I don't know. It was crazy how close we were getting.

Oh no, I wouldn't even want to do that. Such a beautiful bird, I felt sorry. After we left, some kids were down there and it tried to fly but only went maybe 10 feet and then went to floating away from them.

there's pelicans in OK? Never seen a white one either. very cool. When pelicans age their eyesight fails. Not uncommon to see one close to humans looking for something tasty.

If it isn't a pelican, I don't know what it is. He was hurt because, he was turn his head toward us, almost like he was posing for portraits.

no, it looks like a Pelican, I just didn't know they lived inland?

There were probably a half dozen or more there today. After we were finished a guy come up to us and asked if we had seen the Bald Eagle pair that had been around there. We didn't know anything about them, so I will be on the look out for them now.

I will have to admit that this bird stuff can be fun and is really peaceful.

The best way to heal a hurt bird is to cover it in BBQ sauce and roast it.

lol, runnah. I can honestly say that I've never had pelican. But I can go see if it's still there and send it to you, if you like.
