I am an aftermarket battery grip, buying fool!

I've always been skeptical buying the third party grips..there are many stories of people's cameras frying.

But Nikon's battery grips are so expensive. When I bought the D7000, I needed a battery grip but the kept felt like it was slipping out of hand, so I ordered the Nikon MB-D11, $300 later, used it for a couple years..no problem. late 2013, the rubber grip started to peel off. I'm like ugh..I ended up finding a repair shop that had one a OEM rubber grip replacement for $40! I bought it..replaced it myself and it worked great..then late summer then directional pad fell off the grip! For a $300 grip purchased from B&H, I was very upset. It seemed so cheaply made.



I got tired of it and just bought a D610 and I really like the chunkier grip on the D610, I don't need a battery grip. I'm happy.

Well, I’ve returned the Opteka and the Flashpoint. The Flashpoint was awesome, but I returned it to order another speed light, via adorama. So I only have two battery grips now. My Neewer for the D300 and my Smatree for the D800. I was so impressed with the $9.99 Smatree that I’ve ordered one more, just as a back-up, for $8.99 (10% off), for real. Can’t beat that!

Well, I’ve returned the Opteka and the Flashpoint. The Flashpoint was awesome, but I returned it to order another speed light, via adorama. So I only have two battery grips now. My Neewer for the D300 and my Smatree for the D800. I was so impressed with the $9.99 Smatree that I’ve ordered one more, just as a back-up, for $8.99 (10% off), for real. Can’t beat that!

WTH, how did you get 10% off? Mine showed up today and I am mighty impressed for $10. Sure can't beat the price. I think most of the cheap ones are made in one factory anyways.. The next mystery is whether this will fit in it? DSTE En EL18A ENEL18A Li ion Battery for Nikon MB D12 MBD12 Grip of Nikon D800 eBay I had one in my D300 and it still works after 2 years... I ordered one last Friday from China will probably arrive by June, lol...

They sent me an email saying I could get 10% my next purchase, so I asked if could get that off another grip. They said yes, so I ordered another one for $8.99. Ha! Unheard of!!!

I got my $8.99 total shipped, Smatree grip for my D800. It's prefect, so far. It fully checks out. keeping it boxed, as a spare, to my other $9.99 total shipped Smatree grip. What a deal!!!
They're honestly built well. My Neewer grip for my D300 isn't built that great, though it works well.
