I am back. HELLO! Bokeh and a GNAT. Full blown 1:1 maxed out at 100mm

Not nearly as pretty as Lightspeed's spider.

You couldn't pay me enough money to get that close to ANY spider.

LightSpeed... I am honored. I think! LOL!

These are really nice. You made the right choice by leaving the negative space to the right. Just because it's negative doesn't mean it's not necessary. Great work!

Here are two I never posted....

Combat or love???

I almost shot one of those the other day. It wasn't as pretty as yours though.
The ones here are orange and not very attractive.

Select Color Range > Hue Adjustment :)

Mine actually is more orange than red. Look closely. It just pops because it's juxtaposed against yellow.

if they are orange, they maybe Asian lady beetle instead of lady bug. Like those you see around people house that was introduced to US by US gov. (imported from Asia)

Side story on those suckers... My parents house burned a few years ago. We had to tear down what was left of it. under the vinyl siding the whole house was ORANGE from those suckers. WHY would the gov't do that? They are a friggin nuisance!

Back then, they were released in US for the biological control of aphids. They like to hide inside those light color house or building in the winter. Unlike termites, they do not cause structural damages.

Because they are voracious predators.. they eat aphids like I eat cookies! lol! Aphids are much worse than the solution.....

Seems as though this has turned into a "post your random macro photo" thread!

Not sure what kind of spider this is...

IMpressive stuff , with the bee's in flight gentlemen.
I tried that a couple times way back when but I kept losing them in the viewfinder.
Now I know the setup. Wait and let em fly in.
I'll probably have to try that again.
