Fine as it is because the boy is walking towards the content on the right, it tells a story, just leave it alone, if anything it is contrasty, some of the detail in the shadow could be lifted slightly, you don't want it to become flat.I really like this photo, but I am having a great deal of difficulty processing it so I am happy with it when I print it. If anyone wants to have a go please do, but please don't add or subtract from the image as I want it to remain a photo, I don't want it to cross into the boundary of digital art. Thanks.

Surely, if you lift the shadow detail it will become more flat.
And it's already a pretty busy shot, perhaps it doesn't need any more detail?
