Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I still have a long way to go but for owning my first DSLR for less than 3 months that is.

I was tring to get good shots wide open, and at slower shutter speeds than I should of, all rookie mistakes, and I have a 55-300 zoom that I was alway maxing out at 300....I took a few today and can see a huge difference in the clarity.....granted its not a 2000.00 2.8 but does a decent job. I zoomed back to 200mm and was shooting f9 at 1/1250 @400 iso and can really see a difference. Also put my A-EL buton to hold focus.

Cant wait till i can save up for a prime tele....this is addicting.

The birds were about 35 feet away in the front yard.

you mean prime telephoto? Maybe I'm just a noob, but isn't prime zoom an oxymoron?

Prime telephotos cost some serious $$$'s.

You can save some serious cash by keeping your eyes peeled for distressed sales, like a retired, wealthy, dedicated bird and wildlife photographer getting a divorce.

That's how I got a smokin deal on 2 low shutter count D3's (primary and backup ($5500 each new), a 400 mm f/2.8 ($9000 new) and a 600 mm f/4 ($10,000 new, if you can find a new one). Since they were used, the guy needed to sell right now, and he wanted to stick it to his Ex, I got all 4 for $14,000.

Prime telephoto, as in single focal length lens that happens to be a telephoto. 85,100,105,135,150,180,200,300,400,500,600,800mm for example.

Prime wide-angle: 12.14.15.16.17.18.20.21.24.25.28.30.35 mm lengths are all reasonably common for FX.

With the huge prevalence of zooms today, the terms prime wide-angle and prime telephoto are actually quite descriptive.

Sorry to be the spelling Nazi here, but alot is not a word in the English language.

I'm not sure if this was supposed to be a response to me or not?

Funny. I think I have un-learned a lot here.
