When a company invests the time and energy to release a product like this, they're not releasing it with the hopes that it'll find a customer base. They release it because they know the customer base already exists.

I don't like it. I don't like the styling.

But I'm not the guy they're trying to sell it to...

Yep. It's not a camera, it's jewelry. The main thing you need to be sure of is that the wood you select matches your Rolex (or whatever idiotic watch you own).

Just because it's a Hassy and it costs ridiculous amount for EVF, doesn't mean the camera is superb. It's like implying "just because it's a Ferrari, it drives great" Not always true.

This new SONY-Blad would make a great conversation piece at parties. Your photo buddies would have natural joke opps like, "Hey CHristopher, I see you're sporting wood tonight...on your new camera!" and stuff like that. IMO there is nothing fundamentally wrong with Rolex, Rolls, Hassy, et al, and status seekers will always justify spending more money on stuff that the average Joe, but the claims that those brands are somehow worth the premium is a stretch.
