I love to take natural light portraits

this isn't a portrait but I had it loaded and I like it none the less

I really want to do better though, and I think I need to learn photoshop to do this well, as well as be trained on WHAT I'm doing and why. Community colleges seem to only teach the graphic portion of PS what other venues could I look in to? How do you find out if there is a photography course only? Do you have to do 35mm as well as digital or can you choose digital only?

IMO the colors in the pictures don't pop like from what I've seen. How do I get that? Through play in PS?
