So, as you guys/gals know, I recently purchased a Canon 70-200 f/2.8.
Well, this leaves me not needing the Canon 70-300L. So, I listed it here (and have one possible interest here), and Adorama is also very interested it in for their used lens area.
So, one way or another, I'll get that sold.
So I talked to the wife, and she agreed to take that money, and turn it into a Tamron 200-500.
So ... no sense waiting for that permission to get denied, right?

I pulled the trigger. This will give me decent coverage with the 24-105 f/4, 70-200 f/2.8, and 200-500 f/whatever-range.

2 new lenses in 1 week? That's crazy talk!

Sounds like a great combo and Coastal has certainly shown here on the site that the Tamron 200-500mm is a very capable (if possibly overlooked) lens

Also remember selling to a retailer will always net you less for an item than selling direct to a person yourself (because the shop has to then sell the item on and make a profit for themselves). OF course shops are typically easier and quicker to sell to - and (reputable shops) come without the risk of being scams (typically).
