They're all lovely in their own way, but the way I'm seeing them, none are very well focused. That red flower with the water droplets is especially painful to see, because if it were focused it would be such a great shot. Same with the purple flower droplets. So I would say, you know how to find beautiful things, now just work on the focus.

Get outta town..really..an iPad 3...LOL! That's really cool...not bad for an iPad. I think the composition of the first is interesting...others also. You should get a camera...I guarantee you'd do well

Dead center comp on just about all of 'em. Add some depth and value to your images (meaning compose better, not dead center). Nice and sharp images with only minor exposure issues. Not bad at all for an iPad.

Like this for example, your butterfly.

Now, to me, it's interesting.

quick crop, slight highlights/shadows adjust for depth, little highpass sharpening, and a very minor curve adjust.

well, i was using an iPad, all of the photos were autofocused. about the water droplets, they ended up being sharpened so much that they were almost completely white, and that must've made them look unfocused.

yep! the display on the iPad 3 is the best i've ver seen, so viewing and editing photos is easy! i have a camera, a Nikon FM2, but film is so irrelevant in our time that i don't use it very often. the camera used to be my dad's, and the lenses he has for it are very good. i'm saving up for a Nikon D5100, and since i already have F mount lenses, i can get the camera used and already have the lenses.

ah, the rule of thirds. i completely forgot about that x) i'll be sure to remember that next time i go out shooting.

thank you for your comments! i'll keep them in mind!

Your pictures are nice. To reach a better standard mainly like professional photographers you need to 1)read a lot of photography articles and books so that you will get the technicalities, than 2)to practice practice practice. nowadays with digital it is much cheaper to take a lot of pictures, than keep your good ones, and discard all the rest.

i've bookmarked a lot of photography articles already, mostly about ISO, macro photography, using a manual focus-only lens on a DSLR, and some other small things. but those articles aren't helping me very much at the moment, since i don't have a DSLR yet. that's exactly what i do! i take at least 7 shots of each subject, sometimes moving my angle a little bit to see which i like the most later.
