I need a drink

Just goofing around playing with some of my camera settings and getting a better idea of the DOF.

This is the just for fun section, so I will not point out any technical flaws, but I will point out one very obvious non-technical flaw - the f'ing glass is empty!

The glass was well used after playing around with the camera, it was my reward.
Those are Scotch Rocks... you put them in the freezer, and then when you have a drink drop 2-3 of them (gentle) in your glass to chill the scotch, but you don't add any water like when you use ice cubes.

Interesting... I assume that it's not literally just frozen Scotch (wouldn't be able to do that in your typical freezer)... If it's not water, what is it?

Or is it water, but Scotch flavored - so while you may be adding a small amount of water, you're not watering down the flavor...?

Never even thought of that, but it totally makes sense. And they look like 'rocks' too.

It is stone, soapstone actually. Which is softer than glass so they don't break or damage barware.

I just grabbed my Laphroaig for the color contrast against the wall, I was using my Balvenies prior to this shot. Now those are my favorites

One the rocks themselves, they do the job, but even on some of the stronger Whisky, I still put a drop or two of water in them just to open them up a little.
