I did this session a few weeks ago and the sun was totally playing nice that day. I was excited to experiment with it

C&C welcome. Volunteers to come to my apartment to pack all this shiz and drive it to Nashville are even MORE welcome. :lmao:

I plan on going through more from this shoot, but for now this is the only one I have done. :sillysmi:

Nice; she looks like she could be my cousin! ;-) My MUCH younger, more beautiful cousin.

When's the move? You'll have to tell me when you arrive in Nashville...then I'll have to plan a little road trip. I actually just got back from Nashville recently--took my mom to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel for three days right after Christmas, where she got her first ever professional manicure (she's 86 years old!).
But I STILL haven't seen my son's new apartment in Murfreesboro, and I want to plan a visit to see a friend in Antioch, so maybe we can plan a meetup!

My first thought was "there's too much blank space on the left" - then I looked again - somehow you made it work. Maybe one day I'll understand why it works so well. :thumbup:

You know... I wish I could tell you. :lol:

I don't know either. My exact thought process for picking this photo was, "There's a lot of space on the left... People are gonna hate it because of that. And they're gonna hate the crop......... You know what? F**k 'em. *I* love it. I don't know why.... but f**k the rules." :biglaugh:

That's part of the reason I took a hiatus from TPF. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE *LOVE* getting constructive feedback from everyone, but it made me too afraid to say "screw it, I like it anyways" to certain shots because there was this... standard... I was trying to fit into. And after I took a break, it gave me the chance to see that, while certain things might not "technically" be "right"... sometimes it still just... worked. :lol:

And that's the case with this one (and quite frankly, many of the other shots in this set, haha). I couldn't tell you WHY it works... but I thought it worked. :lol:

Whether or not the others do, I guess I'll find out. But that's part of the learning experience, no? :biggrin:

I'd say you're probably good enough now to have confidence in your your own eye and ability. I'm glad you don't know why, either
