What's new

I think I made some one's day

Ok, just like I thought, I don't think you did the guy any favors! :D I just went to a party last night and there were 3 other Nikon users there. One of the guys had a D80 and I asked what lens he had and it was this one.

I said, "Nice! Thats a nice lens!" He said, "Do you want to play with it?" I couldn't resist and oh lord. I'm trying to figure out whether to use my income tax return for that now or a vacation! It is really amazing. I'm jealous you have it! I will have to give in within a few months I'm sure :sexywink:

I also stay away fron EF-S lenses for the same reason you state.
But you have the Tamron Di II lens in your signature. Doesn't it have the same restrictions as the Canon EF-S lenses?

I am pleased with the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS lens on the 40D. I figure that it will stay on the camera if I upgrade to full frame.

I'd have a hard time letting someone that I did not know VERY well use any of my equipment, insurance or not.

I've let somebody else use my camera once. And it was because I had to be in the picture and nobody else had a camera.

I wish I could trust people more. Back in the day, so to speak, it probably was a lot easier for people to consider doing what you did.

More power to you.

Shepherdstown is a small college town. If you took out the university's population, it would be like 2k people maybe.

I've been craving a 70-200 2.8IS since a good sumaritan like yourself let me try one out. It was amazing but it really does make me want it more than I should.
