Yep, these don't have much to complain about. Super cute kid with great eyes. My nit is the background selection that leads the viewr away from the subject. It creates a large red triangle that lead up and to the right. Not too sure if you want the head shadow in shots like these. These nits are certainly not something your client is likely to notice.

I had to put a reflector to the right of her (left side of pic) because the mom didn't clear enough space out in their living room :er:. So thats probably why there was a shadow... but im still shooting free so I hope the mom won't be too upset, or notice. Their living room was so cluttered. My light was camera right pointing at the baby and the reflector. How should my reflector be positioned? I had it propped right near the background facing the light. Also what do you mean about a red triangle?

Personallyt, I feel the eyse are unnaturally blue. Of course, if they are that blue, then great. Otherwise, I think they are overdone. But then again, that's all I have to complain about :) Great shots.

I would bring a little contrast up and bring the brightness down a little.

But I am a newb!

Did you use a vinyl mat on the floor? I like the bucket. Where did you get it?

Classic expression!
Any close ups with the striped wall kill me, though...

Photo #2 is tops

Noob or not, you do bring up a good point. I think these are adorable, but I would try bringing up the contrast just a bit. :)

Ho do you get the reds that red. I love it, its like Candy Apple. Amazing! I think the background pales a little bit, I might actually like to see it stronger but I think the rest is perfect!

If the subject is further from the wall, then the shadow falls on the floor. I doubt the mom will care. There isn't a physical red triangle, but one made by the the edges of the image and the rhythm of the stripes. Rhythm can be used to lead a viewer. In this case, the angle of the stripes makes a triangle:

If the parent is not totally excited about these images have them get their eyes checked.

I noticed the shadow too, some light dodging would fix this nicely.

Robinson...
I'm going to say what the floor is, at least what I think it is.
I believe this poster also posts on another board I frequent and we've found that at teacher supply stores, they have bulletin board paper in rolls, they have one called Weathered Wood. I think it is about 12.99 a roll.

However, I found that unless you already have a hard floor surface, that paper just crinkles and looks bad...so many people are spray glueing it to plywood. The plywood itself is 18 or so dollars, and I think that makes it too heavy to move.

Here is an example in this thread... Great Deal - Photographing Your Life - BabyCenter

So here is what I've found. At Lowes, the wood paneling.... They come in 8 foot sections, in many many colors, from dark cherry all the way down to white wash. I asked them to cut one for me in a 5 foot section, so now I have one 5 foot and one 3 foot. It was like 13 dollars.

It is what I used here...
