i want a rangefinder so badly...

Oh definitely... as my collection grows, I realize that I learn the strong points of different cameras and leverage them. That in of itself is fun.

For landscapes... I use my 6x7 Pentax (on a tripod). Nice large negative. Pretty heavy though. Usually paired with a spotmatic w/ 50mm or ME with 40mm pancake lens in my side pocket.

For street... I tend to carry an R-d1 and an M3.

For portraits... Canon SLR or DSLR with flash and primes.

For general... Canon SLR or DSLR with 1 medium zoom.

For nature/sports... Add a longer zoom to the above.

For "streetable" medium format... I love my 80s pentax 645 SLR. (645 with a 80-160 zoom looks like a weapon of sorts.. lol ).

etc... I just enjoy the whole idea of using different cameras. Sometimes I just want to use an old camera just because of its novelty... Asahiflex IIb for example. Either way, the whole Digital movement has worked in my favor as many in my collection have dropped to "affordable" prices.

yeah...well...i just bought a camera. not a rangefinder as i just-so-happened to find a mamiya 645 medium format camera w/ 80mm f/2.8 lens on ebay for under $200.
