Apparently you don't think that services like squarespace or wordpress are able to code. My website looks nice, loads fast, and squarespace has even creates a mobile versions of the site for me.

I'd learn basic HTML first then move on to other things like SQL, PHP, ASP, and Java if you want to venture into dynamic content. I know HTML and PHP enough to modify WordPress to my liking but if I need anything more advance, I'd hire someone.
