Iwe like to live on the edge and don't bother shoveling our driveway. Which explains why I slipped on the ice walking inside and landed on my knee just a bit ago.*sigh*

If you run out of hot chocolate, move on to better things like coffee......or whiskey.

I love all the pictures, and think the snow is awesome! I get to say that because I grew up in Michigan and dealt with it for many winters, cursing it. But I'm with Lew now: as long as someone else shovels it I'm okay with it.

Ouch the knee,that hurts. I slipped last january on the deck stairs and broke my ankle badly when it twisted backwards and get caught between the deck stairs.. Fast forward 1 year later and still have pain and a limp. So basically a shovel and ice melt is a good thing.

Our snow here has "stuck" since last November when lakes started freezing over as well.

I'll miss it for skiing. This is a bittersweet time of the year for me. I don't like shoveling, but I like playing in the snow, and now we can see the end of it soon.

:hug:: Lived through it in Georgia more than once. People were mowing where their boat docks had stretched into the lakes. At the time we were told certain lakes would probably take 30 years to recover. It was freakin' scary. Then within a couple of years, crazy amounts of rainfall came, and the lakes were virtually spilling over. Georgia rained virtually all last summer, too. Bad for home gardens, great to keep the water tables up.

There is hope! Hang in there.

My poor snowblower normally needs a belt every other year. Gone through two already this year... and I just replaced it before this winter started. Yay. :er:
