Ice Queen

me and my friend were playing around tonight

I turned her into an "Ice Queen"- we made the hugest mess with all the little snow flake pieces but it was fun

This was my first time using my new lights so I was excited to try them out.

Not too shabby. She looks pretty. Good costuming/props! her dark eye socket crease makeup is a bit string though...I might be tempted to soften that dark line by cloning with a 50-60% opacity, 25-pixel-wide brush with a soft edge, at maybe 15% flow...just soften that dark line up a bit.

She seems too weakly colored. perhaps a bit blue and there are blanched spots on her right temple and cheek
You would get better/more useful c/c if you allowed editing.

Thank you both for your input

This was something we threw together in about 45 minutes on a whim so I'm not disappointed in it- it's a step up from my past work for sure

@ Derrell- funny you mentioned lightening the dark creases because I actually darkened them a bit lol- it gave it a more polished look to me but maybe it is a tad TOO dark.

And Traveler- coloring was an artistic choice- i took the saturation down a bit because she has a lot of Indian in her blood and photographs very red- i didn't want this pic to look warm because of the theme so i brought out the blues a bit to add to that cold feel. I did however change my edit settings so i'd love to see what you come up with

I like it... the blueish tint does make it feel colder to me, so I get that. I'm not sure what's going on with her cheekbone area though? Something doesn't look right there, and I'd ave cloned the nose ring out I think. lol

Not a huge difference but I somehow think this photo doesn't do her justice but I can't tell why.

I like that it's a bit less blown out on her right side but I think i prefer it more washed out and blue, but that's just my opinion

I'm also attaching another one we did that we liked- i'm aware the pose isn't great and the crop is bad but she was quick to let me know she was no "America's next top model" lol...i kept trying to move her arms and pose her but to me, it just always looks kinda stiff unless the person can just feel it and do it naturally themselves. I love her "top" that I threw together

i did see that weird spot on her cheek last night and I tried fixing it with no luck but it was like 2am and i was super tired so I'll probably attempt it again after work when I'm more alert

yes, I used it to wash it out a bit, add a small amount of blue filter, cloned out a few blemishes and added the "snow flurries" in the last one... why?

The pose in this one is kind of odd, it looks like she is screwing her head back on or preparing to break her own neck
