Photos NOT OK to edit
You may also have some old cameras in your collection whose manufacturer you can't identify.
I too have this annoying problem with several of my cameras.
One of my pleasures in collecting cameras is to know where and when they were manufactured, to gather related documents of the time and to know about its history.
This is one of these unidentified item
Camera N°1:
Folding camera with aprox. 9x12 cm format plates. Lens/shutter block made by Gundlach Optical Co Rochester. Lens is a f. 6.2 (Gundlach Turner Reich anastigmat ?).
Purchased in France, I do not know if all the camera is from Gundlach or if the lens/shutter block has been fitted on a europeen camera body.
If this thread obtain some interest, I may post for other unknown old gear in my collection, one by one....to manage the suspense.

Just Google "gundlach optical rochester."

The company is no mystery to me. What I need is information about this particulqr camera

All you can likely do is explore available photos and catalogs referenced above. Could be a custom/one-off job made from recycled parts. Who knows?

In fact, I'd like, at the very least, to find a trace of this shutter facade with such a distinctive shape.
But for the time being, nothing similar in photos or catalogs I could find.
It could help to date it (probably c 1896 - 1900)

I finally found trace of the shutter in a Gunlach Optical Co catalog dated 1900

Probably sold to a camera manufacturer.....

The second camera I would like to submit for your expert identification is a folding camera.
In this case, the model name is no mystery, as it is embossed on the leather handle.
However, the manufacturer remains unknown.
It is a carefully crafted 9x12 cm plate camera.
The lens is marked ‘Eurymar Rodenstock Munchen 135 mm f:6.8’.
The shutter is an ‘AGC Isbo’, 1 sec to 1/100 +C+B+T.
Thank you in advance for any clues that will help me identify it

Could be a Rüdenberg? The model name stumped me…

Thank you very much, Mitica.
The Rudenberg hypothesis is a very good line of research.
In fact, the catalogue I was able to find (see attached image) shows that Rudenberg sold several models equipped with Isbo shutters and Eurymar lenses.
However, in the only catalogue I was able to consult on the web, there was no model called Bohemia.
Furthermore, Rudenberg was a reseller of many cameras manufactured by others, which does not make the search for DNA any easier.

Another one item which is part of the (too long) list of cameras to identify in my collection.
It is a nicely constructed folding which looks like some models of the French manufacturer Girard or the German Wuensche.
But, for the time being, I could not identify it.
Any idea ?

Well it's late 1890s, 1898 onward, some manufacturers bought in parts from Hüttig or Krügener.

I have a British made Alliance Roll Film Camera Co 110 camera (5x4 roll film) and that uses some German metal parts, as did Kodak, William Butcher, etc, It can make identification difficult.

Thank you all,
Identification is, of course, difficult.
I will give more effort looking at Krugener and Huttig production

I have an old Kodak Brownie (I think). It’s seen better days. I can’t figure out how to get into it. There’s no obvious release mechanism. I’ve pulled on the front, but it hangs up and I don’t want to force it. Here are some pictures. For starters I’d like to know who to get into it.
