Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I don't think anyone had realized, haha but i've been gone for quite some time, I broke my hip, which isn't commonly known amongst 14 year olds. But they called it a skippy, and blah blah blah, crutches for six weeks blah blah blah, but i have almost made my full recovery, and ive just been really busy, but trying to take as many pictures as i can, but being limited, having to cancel my camping trip, and a few days in the city, but i scraped up some photos from right before the surgery and, would like a little c&c please :D They are all pretty random

#1 I like it, but I think this one could benefit from a little cropping of the right side
#2 hmm, can't say it's bad, but I don't like it. It doesn't do anything for me. Have you considered tighter crop?
#3 Slightly underexposed. Was that silo really tilted like this?

Thanks, really looking at it, i kinda see what you're saying for 2
As for the silo, yeah it is tilted, its been boarded up and broken and been through a few winters of ALOT of heavy snow in upstate newyork, so its pretty titled

1 - I like this one a lot. There are a lot of patterns and lines working in this one. I'm wondering though if it might have had more impat if you'd gotten just a bit more of the far end of the bridge...not showing the roadway, just that there was an end to the bridge so to speak. Just a thought and a hard one to explain. ;)

2. Not very interesting as is. Perhaps a tighter crop showing just the flowers might have worked better.

3. I like this one, but I think I would have left a bit more sky at the top and since the silo tilts a bit to the left, I'd probably have cropped a bit more off the right hand side of the pic -or left more open space on the left so the silo wasn't centered.

I took the liberty to brighten #1 a little, correct the sky colour, straighten the lines a little and reduce the noise :) Whadya think?

I think it looks a hell of a lot better now! I really need to get into editing, lol

Hehe, I thought it was better as well. I really like your photo, great use of lines and patterns. It took me a couple of seconds to realise it's a bridge. Maybe I'm just slow :P
A couple of easy steps to do minor corrections. What I did was a curves adjustment to make it brighter and increase contrast, free transform tool to straighten lines, adjusted the hue of the sky to make it more blue-ish and used Topaz denoise to reduce the noise. There wasn't much noise to begin with, but I thought "what the heck, finally a chance to try it out" lol. It took me around 2 minutes, perhaps. :)

I, really... reallly..REALLY. Gotta learn how to edit, if it means i can do that in two minutes Haha

1- Love it edited
2- just a flower
3- has potential w. editing

im still learning, too, so I don't know if this is better in b & w or not

I love the first photo! I think it would even look great in B&W :)
The second photo really doesn't do much for me
The last photo has great potential! If you decide to give it another go.. try to not centre the image. I know the rule of thirds can be broken at times, however, i do not believe this subject it suited for such rebellion :P

Cheers

Glad you're recovering well! :sillysmi:

Thanks everyone, i do like the black and white one, makes the picture more interesting, next time i go up, i want to redo- this shot, and other potentialy good shots, like old broken down barns and such
Thanks :D

Great edit on the silo! And here is my edit on the first image. It had a dull and over-warmed tone, which i tried to adjust.

Nice edit, i think that all the edits, look 10x better than the original, i was messing around with photoshop last night, just taking random pictures and editing them, even if the edit was horrible, than... my photoshop trial ended, lol, My friend has a copy of the adobe series with cs5 i think, and i am EXTREMELY lucky that hes giving it to me, so i can further mess with some stuff, for now ill just try with gimp and what not
