What's new

I'm large

Aaaah my favorite subject. ...6'1" 215 with 18% bmi(which is not accurate) at 36 eating a comfortable 2800 calories lil carbs during the week. Weekends I carb load to 3500-4100k pints included at tender age of 36.

The problem my "kids" have is not "large" exactly...it's being way too tall and way too thin.

My oldest son is "only" 6'5", wears a size 13 (sometimes 14) shoe, and weighs probably about 170, though I wonder if it's even that much now.

But my "baby" is 6'8", wears a size 15 shoe but has an INCREDIBLY narrow foot--he'd probably wear a AA if they made them for men, in size 15s! And I doubt seriously the boy even tops 160 pounds.
To make matters worse, he has practically no shoulders, and absolutely no hips. He goes through at least two belts a year, trying to cinch the belt tight enough to keep his pants up.

I am SOO glad that they mostly have to buy their own clothes now.

I use to work with a guy that was 7 feet real thin. His biggest complaint was clothing and getting in to a car the was big enough to accommodate head and leg room or door entry-Exit that did not brush his head if he didn't duck under. He thought of his height as a curse.

I am a little guy in todays day and age at 5 8" 160. My problem is I have to jump up and down to see anything like at a concert or a show that people tend to stand. I am Still trying to figure out how to jump up and down with the camera and still capture a sharp image.

Now that I got the swivel screen my monopod a remote release will be handy.

You have to click on the up, not on the down. Later Ed

6.2 down to 180. Not sure about that. That sounds to thin to me.

It's based on some stupid chart from the 50's. BMI doesn't account for your build. I have huge shoulders and big frame. Even when I was 19 and was in peak physical condition, abs and everything, I still topped out at 210-220.

I will protect you.

but hey ladies in gents as long as your healthy size is irrelevant. Plenty of us little folks out in the world that are sickly. My uncle jogged miles every day, went dancing with the wife every weekend and then died of a massive heart attack, go figure.
