D3000/D5000, I'd recommend the D5000 since it's better in low light / especially if you're stuck with a kit lens for a while. When you're ready for a new lens the Nikon 35mm f/1.8 will work great, as will the Sigma f/2.8 18-50 HSM Macro. Couple that with a Speedlight and you'll be well on your way.

Look them both up and see what you think, then come back and ask specific questions you may have on things you don't quite understand.
