Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I hear this all the time. I don't care. I'm not a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, but I'll sit watch a football game they're in. If you clicked on this thread, you're going to see a picture with selective coloring.

i dont think the selective coloring adds to this picture at all. in fact, i think it detracts. you've forced me to focus on the guitar when i want to focus on his face. just my two cents worth....
and why are the shadows red on the guitar?

It seems a little dark to me.. and kinda flat. The selective coloring is distracting. Like the composition and expression though :)

opposite side of the camp.

i like it

"I don't like selective coloring" seems to be the politically correct thing to say in this forum.

I'm not opposed to selective coloring. I beleive the look has something to do with it's relevence or what you plan on using ot for. In some cases it's just cool.

With that said, I don't see this to be a bad shot. Just wondering what it's going to be used for. If you are advertising guitars, it may work.

I don't mind S/C in some cases. I've done a few - finding the right pic to use is a lot harder than the work though nowadays.

selective coloring is something that has literally been around forever, and will continue to exist long after we're all dead. i dont know what i think of this photo. Its just not that interesting to begin with i guess, and the coloring doesnt really bring any life to it....

Just to quote myself- I don't think the following posts are refrencing mine, but just in case... I don't mind selective coloring depending on the picture. In this particular picture, I feel its distracting :p

right on the ball

did you edit this more? It looks better to me now? could be i'm on a different computer..

No. But it was the first time I was using my 50mm f/1.8. I learned my lesson that night. It's AF is horrible in low light without an AF assist beam. It's also not wise to shoot at f/1.8. It's OOF, that's why I don't ever post the large version.
