Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hi, guys
I own a 3 yr. old 24" imac, glossy screen. This system has a characteristically bright screen. (not talking about backlighting or dimming it). After seeing how off my prints came back from a couple of professional photo labs, i calibrated my screen using the mac's onboard calibration sliders. it was fairly satisfied until recently having several comments from reviewers and other members at a microstock site that my shots have a magenta cast.
The magenta i think is coming from the strobe bounce off my terra cotta colored walls. It was interesting to me that i didnt notice it until i put them in LR and put the saturation/vibrancy levels to the max and yup...magenta.
So i went out and bought Spyder 3 Pro. Had terrible results. Super bright, even when calibrating in a dark room and the backlight down. I calibrated it 9 times before i returned it for a refund. I learned that Spyder isnt great for glossy screens. So Im back to square one.

Any advice on-
1) how do i compensate for the magneta while shooting indoors?
2) is there calibration software that will work well with iMac glossy screen
3) what is the best way to use the mac onboard calibration?
dark room?
screen tilt? Should i get down to eye level or be in my normal viewing
position cus that effects how i see the apple vs the background.

Thanks for any insight you guys can offer.
