He said something about how he got sick of spending thousands and having it all over in one morning as people open the presents all in one shot. I guess the way he does it now is they get one present every day for a week instead of all on Christmas morning. I don't know anything about the religion but he seems to have done some conversion here on the principle of fun and costs.

Conversion is a fairly difficult process and not undertaken lightly.
Those with trivial reasons are weeded out.
