Hey all!

Im trying to break into the business and expand my portfolio alittle. I have a photo shoot planned this weekend in and around the Bridgewater, MA area, but Im not sure where to go. Does anyone have any ideas? We (me and my model) were thinking of just driving around. I thought of going to the skatepark nearby, and maybe find some old train tracks somewhere. I want the shoot to have an urban feel, as most of my portfolio is more of a "romantic" feel.

any ideas?

Hi bostoncowgirl! It would help if you could post some of your work so we understand better what this "romantic feel" you mention looks like.

Have fun shooting!

Train tracks are kinda cliche, and not to mention, dangerous. If you find some abandoned, unused tracks, it might be worth while, but again, everyone and their mother has the obligatory railroad tracks shots. How far from Boston are you? I've never been, but I'm sure there's a port there. Might be some cool stuff there to shoot around. Abanonded warehouses, and other buildings can make for a really cool urban environment. Just make sure you're allowed to shoot wherever you're at, and get permission to be on any private property. But those are some ideas.

Ok...i uploaded just a few of my pics. I have more recent (and better) ones on my home computer. I am (obviously) very new to the photography world, so any suggestions are more than welcome!

just go to a downtown area with some building and street lights and stuff. the bokeh from street lights makes for nice backgrounds. like this
