Im always stumped when shooting a nighttime scene where there are no practicals on.

What are your thoughts on the exposure, blueness of the photo, light source etc

this was just an experiment if you have any tips let me know!

I like it, but would either clone out the headlights or at least reduce their brightness, as they pull my eyes away from her face

This ^^

Hmm I keep thinking about this. I think the headlights are an important part of the "story" of this image. But at the same time they do stick out a lot.

what was the light source?

Just a soft box. I also had a reflector on the other side

then it's not successful for me.

looks too soft and far too under.

Even this shot of myself, that I did at f/13, even though I metered f/5.6 (so 2.5 stops under) turned out very sharp:

then edited to give similar colors/effect/tone/feel:

otherwise I like it. I get the theme right away, I like the look, I just don't like how fuzzy/soft/oof it is.

I thought maybe it was natural light with a 1/25sec shutter or something.

wow this is great. the image itself was actually brighter i just darkened it in lightroom perhaps too much.

Thank you!

brought up JUST a touch would help. But i sad so soft.

Heh this reminds me of a really dramatic reenactment of a teenager sneaking out of the house. I like. :)

That's exactly what I saw when I looked at, confirmed when I saw the image name.
