Hello

I build a lot of different robotic monstrosities in my spare time. I love taking pictures and little video clips as I go along. I found that even with this new camera, when I do videos indoors, they are still a little grainy. Any recommendations for settings?

Here's an example (I am starting to use You Tube as a repository).

Thanks a bunch!

Dave.

Do you notice the orange-ish tint or color cast in the video you have posted?
That's from not matching the camera White Balance setting to the color temperature of the light source you are using.
Understanding White Balance

To get rid of the image noise (film has grain) you need more light so the ISO can be lower.
Your video is actually somewhat under exposed, and under exposure contributes to making image noise more visible.

By using the rear LCD Histogram you can better gauge if you do or don't have proper exposure.
Camera Exposure: Aperture, ISO & Shutter Speed

Because of the way digital images work, we expose for the highlights.
The technique is known as Expose To The Right (ETTR), meaning to the right side of the histogram-
