Infinite White---FAIL

no actually vinyl is the best type background you can use for white. its all about the exposure.

I'm going to have to read up on exposure and how to work with it in my manual thank you

412 do this point at your shoe and fill the entire screen with white then raise exposure to +2 then recompose and shoot. use raw then take to raw editor and change to tungsten and start from there. post result

Halogen lights are in the 3000-3,600K temperature range. Flash is ~5600K. so the first order of business is to set your WB to a certain setting and take it off Auto.

Your background sweep is horrendous. Try using a paper background, not the poster type if you can't treat it gently, that is less reflective.

Your lighting setup is merely pushing the light forward rather than helping you sculpt the light to the subject. You're showing hard shadow lines.

If these are "hot" lights, the only suggestion I can make is............... BE CAREFUL. Other than that it would be to light your background with one light and place your other two lights so they cancel out each others shadow for a cleaner look.

Here's one I did of my old hiking boots with speed lights. The background was overexposed by 1-1/2 stops by a light on either side that were flagged to avoid spill and a single light above and in front to expose the boots.

You may also google "dyi lightbox". It should give you some additional ideas.

Your sheet of paper isn't perfectly flat, which is important if you don't want to spend the rest of eternity in photoshop. What you could do is take a big box and fix the paper with some tape.
