When I went to google maps to scope out this area I discovered that this was a bit of a local cliche, and swore to myself I wouldn't "go there". But man, once I was there, I couldn't resist! But instead of focussing on these fields which checkerboard off into the valley, I wanted instead to juxtapose the orderly agricultural forms with the organic, curvy forms of the trails and natural terrain.

I wish the IQ was a little better - do they seem "over processed"?

(What does IQ stand for here - I've seen this abbreviation so often and still only know it standing for "intelligence quotient"... ?)

I like the first, the street diagonally cutting through the fields and the stretch of natural ground is nice to look at.

Both work very well. Even the colour gets chewed up by nature.

I think it's interesting that you use the word "nature". There is nothing "natural" about a large scale farm; yet, we think of agriculture that way.

I was referring to the unplowed part of each photo which is likely grazing area. It's not wilderness by any definition but it embodies a fair amount of natural character.
