Introduction, From Arizona

I'm a very new beginner to digital photography. I have a point 'n shoot camera right now. I've been learning my camera, and shooting stuff in auto-mode to learn framing and some camera basics. When I view the photo's I look up the exif data to take notes on the settings the camera
picked for the picture. I've been reading all I can, and I hope in about 6 months I'll be able to purchase a dSRL. I'm looking into both Canon and Nikon systems.

Oh, my point 'n shoot is a Canon A570 IS. I've been lurking in the forum for about a week now. Thought I would join here, and see if I can learn some more.
