Was looking at the monthly contests here and thought that one day I will be proficient enough to take part, but the rules state that I need to have an introduction post to qualify for one of those.

So... New member here. Getting started on the path of digital photography as a hobby. I have just picked up a DSLR and a couple of lenses. I found this forum during one of my searches about DSLRs and been visiting every day since.
I am from Calgary, Canada. I am Father, Husband, Brother, Gentleman and Scholar.

Oh that one. I have yet to go there. It is right in the centre of downtown and I don't like going there unless I absolutely have to. But next time I am the the business I might have to stop by.
