Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I took this photo of a friends daughter at her first ever Horse show. I was trying to get a great picture of the whole scene. It ended up being a great picture of the horse wandering if the trophy was a treat.

I wish I had better lighting on her, as that was what the photo was supposed to be. Any constructive criticism is very welcomed. I am brand new to taking pictures with more than a smart phone.

nice picture..I am also a newbie so lets team up!:1398:did you use flash? I think a little light on her would have helped

Hi, a nice cute photo. I think that getting closer & just capturing the girl with the horse would have been nice. I see that you did use flash, but it had little effect. A reflector would have been useful here, or just handle it in post. You allow tweaking in your profile, I warmed up the shadows a little, removed some of the redeye from the larger horse & brought up the shadows around the horse & the girl. I dropped down the background slightly with a gradient. The shot had some noise, so I added some luminance

This sort of idea for the crop. Always good to get closer! :)

I did crop it that way and added vignette in another copy I have. I wanted to show the raw photo so not to hide anything, and get good true feed back. I used a Canon T5 rebel with a 75-300mm. I did not use flash I had forgot to turn it on. Thank you for the input

That looks amazing. What program are you using to edit with.

Are you sure that the flash didn't fire? The EXIF data claims it did fire & there is reflection in the larger horses' eye.

It must have gone off and i did not notice. We were so busy that day with all the kids and horses i must have.

Is there anyone in the northwest on here

Yep, I think it may have messed up your exposure & also the white balance. It's usually best not to use full auto mode, consider aperture or speed priority for your basic settings.

The important thing in that image is the moment! You couldn't have timed that better if you'd tried. OEs enhancements definitely make it stronger, but the moment is what really counts.
