Testing out new image host over at Deviant Art

A Meerkat (Suricata suricatta) from Africa Alive Zoo in the UK.

Taken with Canon 7D and Sigma 120-300mm f2.8, a few years back but one I'd not polished up for showing. Bit of a crop to remove some on the left and bottom.

Any comments/critiques are most welcome.

Thanks - oddly the shots before and after this shot are of otters. Clearly I'd stepped away from otters for a moment and got one of a meerkat then wandered back. It was a few years back so who knows what I was thinking at the time.

Meerkats are funny little creatures. I guess that's why I like them ( I was probably one in a previous life ).
