is the 35mm prime lens supposed to do this?

i was focusing close in on an object at the minimal focus distance and turned the focus ring too much and it keeps going turning it to the left as opposed to my other lenses just stopping where it reaches the minimal focal distance

is this normal for prime lenses?

It's normal for any lens with full-time manual focus.
