So I don't shoot raw for one reason. When I download my pics on to my computer I can't see the thumbnails. So I don't know which pic it is unless I open it individually through photoshop.with 150 pics that's alot. with j pegs I just look at them through media player which is 10x faster to see if the focus is right. Is there a program that will allow me to see all my raw pics on a list or in thumbnails.

I just open them in bridge and you can see the thumbnails.

Sweet downloaded the codec. Now its as easy as j peg.

You can also see them in Lightroom.

But you can also see them using the folder preview, which is immensely handy. That was the point.

Thank you all very much for this information. Just installed it going to reboot now and see how it goes.

It did not work for me. =( I still can't see them without opening them. It might be because I have the raw files associated with my FastStoneImageViewer. I will work that out later. It is not that big of a deal for me right now. I was just hoping that was an easy fix.

what format do you use. I downloaded mine from the nikon site.

First choice: Picasa, free, quick, easy, with folder view.

Second Choice: How do I view RAW pictures in Windows 7?

My choice: A Mac. No downloads needed.

More expensive than Picasa or finding, downloading and then getting it to work in windows though.

I use microsoft's Raw image viewer. Free and opens raw files the same as windows image and fax viewer opens jpg files...

This is an edit. I should state that i use this raw image viewer to open the thumbnails into a bigger picture...

It works on my Win7 32-bit but not on my Win 64-bit. I haven't had a chance to figure out why though.

That is my problem. 64 bit. I can see them just fine in FastStone. Which I use all the time any way. Only "problem" I have is seeing the thumbnails in explorer. But I can live with that.
