This is a photograph i took a few years back on b&w film. It is of the side fence in my backyard. This photograph is 1 of only 2 pictures that i have taken for artistic purposes.

Please tell me what you think.

I can see what you were aiming for with form, texture & contrast, but I dont think it quite hits the mark, I 'm having the same problem myself. I think I would have been more tempted to go from the angle of shooting with the fence to my right and closing in on the section with the shadows of the drier. What do you think?

i did attempt to take from that angle but none of the shots turned out any good. i wanted to capture the light and shadow, and i found the lines and angles in the composition more interesting from this angle.

i'm sorry but i'm not down with the photography lingo yet.
