IMO, this is more fashion than glamor. When I think of glam, it's on the sexier side.

I do, however, like the first shot. The second looks a little too posed for my tastes.

Thanks, I am having a confusion with information from friends about glam and fashion ^^

^ agree. Glam to me has more of the soft focus, "dreamy" type quality. Nice shots, btw, but #2 could have used a little more light on her up stretched arm.

Nice shots.

When I think of Glam, it's akin to Erotica but with more clothes. :sexywink:

And has nothing to do with big hair bands and rock ballads of the 80's.

Probably for Dubai it would be classed a Glam but not in the UK, it's a nice fashion shot

Any criticism for improvement on my photos?

Just a couple of thoughts......

On #1, there is a fair amount of haloing along her right shoulder and arm. It doesn't always have to be, but if she had her eyes follow her nose a bit more, we would be able to see white on each side of the iris, which is prefered in most portrait circles. I am of the mind that a cropped head is NOT a bad thing, just make sure that it doesn't look like a mistake of bad framing. I would be more aggressive with it. Take notice of minor details, such as the feather in her earrings should have a similar look / fall.

On #2, I would have her standing another 25-50 meters in front of the boats so that they are more distinguisable as boats, yet blurred. As is, the background is too busy or rather, too distracting IMO.

All said and done, these are nice images.

I agree about the b/g in 1 a bit too prominent. Enchanting pictures.

Thanks much, all is noted for improvement ;)

I love the bottom half of the first shot with the folds and shadows in the dress and the beautifull golden yellow colour
