Hey all,

Do you guys think it would be possible to attract customers to buying my work, without offering photo sessions (ie; my website would sell my prints, but you could only buy whats there).

Do you mean that you don't do any work for folk? and just want to try attract folk to your website and sell your personal prints?..

If that's the case I think you need to establish some sort of credibility (if you haven't already, i don't know what your situation is), perhaps do gallery showings etc, offer prints to restaurants etc.. that could work locally.. as for globally i'm not sure how to go about it but i'm guessing it is possible.

There's some nice work in your gallery so i don't think you'll have a problem selling a few to local restaurants and places like that.. even just speak to them and tell them what you do etc, give them a business card and perhaps a small discount - I find local businesses like to work with one another to some extent, and some people just like striking a good deal.

It's certainly possible...but #1, you would need to get a lot of traffic to your site and #2, you would need to offer a product that people want, at a price that they will pay.

I'd guess that most people aren't surfing the web, looking for photos to buy.

The photos would have to be really special for someone to just buy them from you.

So while it is possible...I'd say it's a long shot.
