I was going for a quiet, pensive feel, and therefore want to minimize background distractions. Yea, I know its a bit soft.

There's more black than anything.

Could try a little cropping.

The black area behind them does nothing for the image. If you crop that, the black areas in the remaining image are not a problem. I might darken the bright parts of the piano a little.

Looks better to me too.

I've found it's tricky to balance out the distracting, while not cramping the photo.

The next thing is the blown out white of the piano. I dunno how to fix that however.
