I am also from Israel, by sheer coincidence my name also happens to be Ron (inspite of my silly nickname). I like to take photographs but I would hardly call myself a photographer. However, it looks like we may have the start of a local little Israeli chapter of TFF. Hope you enjoy this forum Ron.

Hi guys,

I'm also new around here, I joined today and guess what.... yes, I'm also from Israel, Haifa.

I cannot call myself professional, but I have been enjoying an amateur status in photography for well over 50 years, starting with a square Kodak box when I was 13

I've always had a darkroom, (B&W) but of late have succumbed to the delights of an easier life with digital cameras and software for the computer.

I still yearn for the days and very long nights that I would spend hunched up in my tiny dark room, breathing in fixer fumes and leaving scores of 10 x 8's hanging up to dry while I had 3 hours sleep before going to work the same morning. Today, I just close down the computer after backing up.

Anyway, nice to be here....
