This week is finals week at my school. Of all the weeks this year I chose a busy one to start shooting heavily again. I found some time to shoot this week, here are my favorites. I am open to any suggestions and criticisms.

1. Boring
2. The best of the bunch, but it's still just a glass of coke
3. Missed focus on the cat, underexposed
4. Absolutely horrible, new worst photo ever seen on TPF
5. Snapshot through a fence, strange colour cast

I think you should find some more interesting subjects.

well done to everyone who commented in this thread, you have successfully proven you have the ability to judge and critique an amateurs photos as if he was a seasoned pro and offer absolutely zero help or constructive criticism. well done, well done

obviously hes a student and learning photography...testing out angels, filters, composition techniques, etc etc.. you know.. **** you all used to do when you all first started out

and in my opinion your doing quite well greenjackson.
yes your subject matter isnt all that exciting but you have an interesting perspective on things. I would suggest while learning about the equipment learn also more about what makes a photo interesting and captivating.. check out a few magazines and see photos that interest you and try to recreate them even if its just the composition or the subject matter.. dont worry how many lights you think the photographer used or how much better their equipment is..

it all comes down to light, composition and subject matter.. that's what makes for a great photo.. being able to capture it in focus is the hard part =)
