Kind of a cliche shot, but I thought I'd share.

I like that the shells start small in the lower right hand corner, then get bigger as your eye follows to the upper left. It's a line for the eye to follow without having an actual line in the photograph. Very cool. I might have tried to exaggerate that effect a little more, for a more dramatic impact.

The image does seem to be a tad bit under exposed to me.

I went to Flickr and looked at the largest size; I think the image would benefit from a bit of sharpening applied to it. And maybe a bit of a curves adjustment to create a slight bit more drama in the lighting...the lighting is very flat and even, and doesn't create much of a feeling of texture or depth. The slight coolish tint to the light makes me think this was shot in overcast conditions, or late in the afternoon or early morning, in open shade (all sky-light and no sun-light.) I think shadow values made a slight bit darker by a curves adjustment would really emphasize the shells' depth.

A little trick I sometimes use to increase sharpness is to gently (and I mean gently) go over the photo with the burn tool with shadows selected. It still looks a bit flat to me. Use the tool to help give the eye some direction, and tug it around the creation a bit more.
