I like your sea shell photo.
I had similar photo of pebbles on a beach framed and mounted. Surrounding it were framed close ups of individual pebbles found in the central photo. Many hours were spent by friends and family trying to locate the individual closeups within the central image.

1st off, I really like the single subject matter. It makes for a very interesting composition. The original picture certainly has a blueish tint to it. Seems that you could have corrected it with a change in your White Balance setting to Cloudy and maybe +1 as well. That would have warmed it up.
Lightspeed, your final edit is as usual, excellent. After seeing your work area in another thread, you're certainly well setup for post production work.
