Shot this on grey paper but didnt have a lot of room to leave space
between the subject and wall....hence the shadow. But overall I like the
image and thought I would share.

In this case, I think the background shadow is actually quite okay--it gives him a feeling of weight, of substance, of actually being there. MY main gripe is the hot light that makes the outlines on both his jaws AND his nose...I don't like that hot light outlining the nose very much. Still, that's a fairly advanced level of disagreement on how the shot would be done best...this shot is good enough it could run with an article on any of a thousand slick web sites...if that was George Clooney, or Leo DiCaprio in the pic, you'd have people fawning all over it.
