Jewelry/Cufflinks Photography - What equipment? Light tent Takes away shine

Hi Everyone,

I'm a little stuck. I've been photographing cufflinks for years for our business, however i've never actually managed to get the desired finish which i'm after.

• I've used a light tent, but the problem is that that a tent gives the cufflinks a grey look and not the perfect silver shine which we're after.

Then progressed to:-

• A light table, with light flowing through the perpex table on to the platform and with perspex lights on either side too. The finish is much better, however the lights are not continious, so therefore i end up with lots of blacks etc...

I have been using day light bulb for both too.




If anybody could recommend the perfect equipment for photographing such items i would be forever in your debt.
