If you had interviewed around here you would get to wear socks and sandals...... along with a flannel shirt.

My daughter interviewed for a teaching position and was offered the job a little over a week ago, when she went in to do the paperwork she mentioned she was pregnant.... ooops, all of a suddent they needed to run a "background" check that they had already run. The offer was taken back that afternoon as something had come up with one of her references. She called and talked to all her references and they all said they received no calls asking about her. I told her she's lucky to have found out now how they treat their employees instead of later. So now it's on to the lawyers making money. Grrrr.

Wow! In sure you already know this but that was highly illegal can not believe they had the balls to do it I would def get a lawyer involved

It could be worse - you could be trying to get a job as a police officer: written examination, physical agility test, multiple questionnaires, multiple interviews, polygraph, psychological evaluation, medical evaluation; all part of a complete background investigation going back many years of your life.

Well good news is that it went really, really well. However, the type of science I do is extraordinarily expensive. Think in terms of D800/week. They weren't prepared for that. But, we'll see. Thanks for the support.

sorry for late response - just saw this. Holy crap, that is total ****. Probably illegal. But I see it all the time. I'm sorry she has to deal with that kind of situation, it must be tough.
